photo of Kimberly DarkKimberly Dark founded Current Change Consulting in 1997 and continues to provide consulting and facilitation services. She has an M.A. in sociological practice from Cal State San Marcos and a BA in sociology (minor in Spanish) from University of Colorado. Her passion lies in helping individuals and organizations see and use their power to create just and equitable circumstances. She has spent more than two decades working with human service organizations, school districts and funders to develop systems an policies that focus on both process and outcomes for children, families and communities. Kimberly is talented in the areas of facilitation and conflict resolution. She loves facilitating the changes that occur when people begin to understand the social context in which they live, their interconnectedness with their clients and colleagues and the power of constant change.

In addition to research design, facilitation and training, Kimberly also teaches in the Sociology department at Cal State San Marcos. Her interest in auto-ethnography (the study of culture in relation to self) and alternative presentations of research has also led her to write theater performances focused on gender and other social issues. photo of Linda Shaw Linda Shaw, Ph.D. has been a researcher with Current Change Consulting since 2000. She is also Professor of Sociology at California State University, San Marcos, where she teaches and writes about qualitative research methods and social issues affecting low-income and ethnically diverse populations. For the past ten years, she has used interview and observational methodologies to conduct needs assessments and to evaluate numerous social service programs in San Diego and Los Angeles Counties. She is co-author of Writing Ethnographic Fieldnotes, an internationally recognized book on conducting ethnographic and qualitative research.

photo of Nemie Capacia Nemie Capacia has been a part time research assistant with Current Change Consulting since 2001. She conducts focus groups and interviews in English and Tagalog. She is also a full-time math professor at Grossmont College and a finite math consultant for the Sweetwater Union High School District. Nemie began her higher education at University of Guam, prior to transferring to San Francisco State University and earning a bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. Nemie went on to complete a master's degree in Mathematics at San Diego State University.

Outside the classroom, Nemie spends most of her quality time with her husband and two boys - from traveling, riding bikes, playing tennis, walking, or just driving the boys to sporting events or music lessons. Nemie also spends a lot of time volunteering at her sons' schools and her church and relearning how to play the piano and the guitar.
